About PHG
Pelle Holmberg Group aká PHG is an instrumental band from the south of Sweden. It all started when Pelle met the drummer Markus Helander during their studies at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. PHG plays mostly original music but sometimes also covers from artists like Oz Noy, Tribal Tech, Mike Stern among others. PHG's music is a mix of jazz, rock, funk and blues. PHG released their first album in 2011, second album "Ghost Ship" in 2015 and their third album "Damn Good" in 2019. PHG´s new album features the legendary Oz Noy among others musicians. Over the years PHG has been involved in many projects. They did a tour with the legendary Swedish guitarist Georg "Jojje" Wadenius spring 2017, worked with the saxophone player Sofi Hellborg, played support act to Lee Ritenour, Marco Mendoza, Oz Noy and Doyle Bramhall II. PHG has toured with Kalle Moraeus, played on Swedish guitar show Fuzz, made several tours and clinics in Scandinavia. PHG recently got signed on the brand new labed A flat Record that released "6 is 9" and "Nifty mutt feat Oz Noy", available on Spotify and Itunes.
